Cruise / Tour with Viking River Cruises

On August 19th, 2009 my wife and I flew from Minneapolis to Chicago, then to Beijing, China, to participate in a cruise / tour adventure with Viking River Cruises, and their Imperial Jewels of China 12-day excursion. SS NORWAY

With Barry's recent cruise on NORWEGIAN PEARL, it made me think of our cruises on the ship that helped grow the cruise industry into what it is today, the SS NORWAY.

The Norwegian Pearl Experience

Review of the Eurodam

It was a short cruise out of New York City aboard a brand new ship called the Eurodam, Holland America's first Signature-Class vessel. I brought my wife, who has never been to New York so I was thrilled to show her around the usual spots like Times Square, the Brooklyn Bridge, ground zero, the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty.
